Saturn V Resurrected by Lori Kella.

Fri 7/10 @ 7PM

Heights Arts was founded only 20 years ago, which is sort of surprising given that Cleveland Heights has long been home to one of the biggest communities of creative professionals of all types in northeast Ohio. In that time, it’s done countless exhibits, hosted concerts, promoted poetry readings and more.

It’s now celebrating its 20 years with a show called Evolution: Heights Arts 20th Anniversary Exhibition. Fourteen artists who have previously shown at Heights Arts’ gallery a featured, each with a piece from the period when they first exhibited and one from their current work. They include some of the area’s most respected visual artists.

The artists partcipating are Pam Argentieri (jewelry, metals); Kevin Busta (furniture/lamps); Tim Callaghan (painting, gouache watercolor); Stephanie Craig (ceramics); Sarah Curry (painting, printmaking); Sarah Kabot (cut paper assemblages); Lori Kella (photography); Yuko Kimura (paper, fiber); David King (painting); Matthew Kolodziej (painting/collage/works on paper); Lynn Lofton (ceramics); Doug Meyer (furniture, metal); Brent Kee Young (glass); and Garie Waltzer (photography).

The show will have a virtual opening on Friday July 10. It will also feature art and pre-recorded video by Spotlight artist Stephen Calhoun. RSVP to attend here.
