Drink Local Drink Tap Offers Water Conservation Curriculum to Schools

For a decade, the organization Drink Local Drink Tap has sponsored its Wavemaker program to teach kids how to conserve water and reduce waste, as well as become aware of water access issues in other parts of the word. It’s reached 15,000 northeast Ohio students.

In the last year, Drink Local Drink Tap has been creating a STEM-based curriculum that expands on these themes in three units: Water Footprint, Clean Water for All, and Climate Change and Water.

It’s offering the curriculum free this year due to the impact of the pandemic on schools. (Half of it is designed to be used virtually). The program launches next month, and will add new resources throughout the school year. Go here to learn more.
