Take Some Time to Walk All Over Waterloo

Fri 7/3 @ 6-9PM

Normally, the first Friday of each month is Walk All Over Waterloo in the Waterloo Arts district. And while most businesses aren’t open at this point, a few are — and the street is currently its own art gallery, with a curated display called “Inside Out” featured in storefronts and on walls. Waterloo Arts had its exhibit in the window: it’s sharing some of the photos North Collinwood photographer Stephen Bivens took of neighborhood residents, a tribute to Bivens who passed away a month ago.

There’s a new business in the space at the far southeast end of the street in the building next to the sculpture garden. Called Bigger Picture, it’s run by a photographer who offers space for studio shoots to other photographers on a membership basis.

One gallery that will be open in the new photography-based gallery Photocentric. From 5-7pm, it will host an opening for a show of work by two need local photographers, Bruce Edwards and Greg Martin. They request that you wear a mask in the gallery and they have masks available for those who have forgotten them.

Citizen Pie is also open so plan to come down early and have a pizza, then walk around and look at the art. It’s everywhere. From 7-9pm, there will be live music on the Tower Stage at the intersection of Waterloo and East 156th, with Cleveland reggae pioneer Dave Smeltz and his trio the Smeltztones, and acoustic duo Shawn & Shelby.
