Lakewood Unveils a Second New Mural

A couple of weeks ago, Lakewood debuted the first of two murals it commissioned as part of its Madison Avenue beautification when an image of a deer, symbolizing peace and serenity, by local printmaker April Bleakney went up on the corner of Madison and Warren behind the Fifth Third Bank.

Now the second is ready for its close-up. The 54-foot mural by Lakewood illustrator/designer Stephanie Crossen aka “The Lovely Forest” was inspired by sunsets at Lakewood Park’s Solstice Steps to “an eternal sunshine to bring joy on cloudy days.” It’s located at the Doughnut Pantry, also at the Warren-Madison intersection.
