Bike Cleveland Urges Advocates to Help Give Input on Proposed City Projects

Tue 6/23 @ 6PM

The City of Cleveland is proposing some street reconfigurations, which include bike lanes, and Bike Cleveland wants to make sure cyclists are being heard. So it’s urging all its members and biking friends to participate in giving feedback and participating in a virtual community meeting on Tue 6/23.

Through June 21, the city is looking for feedback on the proposed design plan for the West 65th Street corridor, which connects to the Denison Avenue and Clark Avenue bike lanes, the in-progress Redline Greenway, the future Lorain Avenue Cycletrack and the Lakefront Bikeway. Bike Cleveland is promoting improvements to make West 75th safer for both bikers and walkers. You can find details about the project and about their recommendations here.

Then on Tuesday June 23, Cleveland City Planning in conjunction with the Mayor’s Office of Capitol Projects, is holding a virtual community meeting to provide information on the repaving of Union Avenue, with a proposed design for motor vehicle and bike lanes. Bike Cleveland has some recommendations to improve the project and make the street safer for cyclist. You can find their ideas here and help advocate for them. Their page provides information on how to participate in the meeting.
