SPACES recently announced the list of 60 artists and arts-related individuals who were awarded $1,000 grants in the first round of the Satellite Fund Emergency Relief program. The grants are intended to cover basic expenses for people in the arts whose income is suffering because of the pandemic.
Thanks to new funding from the Cleveland Foundation, as well as individual donors, it’s announcing a second round of grants, which will go to at least 50 Cuyahoga County-based artists — and in this round, artists enrolled in degree-granting programs are also eligible. Awards are based both on need and “demonstrated visual arts practice.”
Applications will be accepted for this round between Wednesday May 20 and Sunday May 31. Recipients will be notified in early June.
