May Story Club Cleveland Offers Tales of Persistence

Thu 5/14 @ 7:45PM

Story Club Cleveland won’t be gathering at its usual spot — CLE Urban Winery in Cleveland Heights — for a while yet. But it will be taking place online!

This month’s theme is “Persistence” (and aren’t we all doing some major-league persisting now?). The featured performers at bookseller L.S. Quinn, write/performer Judah Leblang and Megan Stielstra, author of an essay collection called The Wrong Way to Save Your Life.

As usual, there will several open mic slots for community storytellers. They’re first come, first served to people who mail their eight-minute stories to organizer Dana dana@storyclubcleveland.com. The evening opens and closes with a dance party courtesy of DJ Whippie.

To listen in, but a ticket for $10 at Eventbrite. Then you’ll get the Zoom link to enjoy the show. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Akron/Canton Foodbank. They also suggest ordering a bottle of wine from CLE Urban Winery to enjoy while you listen and support a local business that’s been closed. Shipping is free!
