Film Commission Chief Speaks at Music Box Virtual Program

Thu 5/21 @ 7PM

Although the Music Box Supper Club has announced it will be the first Cleveland entertainment venue to dip a cautious toe into reopening, its special programs, such as its monthly Film Café and weekly Cleveland Stories are still online for now.

This week, it’s combining the two for a presentation by the new president of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission, Cleveland native Evan Miller. After graduating from The Ohio State University, he worked as an agent in Los Angeles before returning home last year to succeed longtime film commission president Ivan Schwartz, who moved on after 13 years to start his own company.

Miller will talk about the film industry in Cleveland, where it’s at and where it’s likely to be after the pandemic. There’ll be an opportunity to ask questions, and there will be some films by area filmmakers screened as well following Miller’s presentation.

The Zoom webinar is free (a Zoom account isn’t necessary to attend). Register here.
