DANCECleveland will once again be presenting its online movement and literacy class for little kids ages 3 to 6 on Friday May 8 from 1:30-2pm.
Titled Read to Learn …Dance to Move, the 30-minute program is distilled from an eight-week program offered to public school systems. In it, instructor Connie Laettner leads children through a series of movements to exercise their language skills, imaginations and movement abilities, incorporating the book Miss Tutu Star by Lesléa Newman and Carey F. Armstrong-Ellis. Children get to explore the story, try out movements and learn a dance tells the story which everyone performs together at home.
