Canton Museum of Art Opens Its Spring Shows Online

Watercolor by J.D. Titzel

Thu 5/7 @ 6-7PM

The Canton Museum of Art remains closed, but its four new spring exhibitions will be opening anyway. Scheduled to open are Patient Work: Watercolors by J.D. Titzel; A Portrait of Americana: American Life from the CMA Collection; Reflections: The Artistic Spirit of Merv Corning; and Symbolic Narrative: Ceramics by Taylor Robenalt.

They’ll be hosting a Facebook Live reception for the shows Thursday May 7 from 6-7pm. Join curators Christy Davis and Kaleigh Pisani-Paige, and their special guests in the galleries as they offer a preview of the work and some commentary on it. After that, they’ll be posting a virtual online tour on their website under “Current Exhibits.”

The shows are scheduled to run through July 19, but may be extended so people have the chance to see them in person.
