Akron Nonprofit ArtsNow Introduces New Programs

Summit County nonprofit ArtsNow has announced several program to shore up the Akron area arts community, support creators and keep the community connected to its areas scene.

The Dreamers & Doers connects artist and community leaders for conversations about what they are doing and creating, and what innovations they are seeing during the pandemic. Live from the Living Room bring artists online to host things such as painting classes, music and meditation and theater for kids.

“The arts connect people. They inspire people,” says ArtsNow’s Grace Myers. “Arts provide solace, a space to reconnect with friends or strangers for a shared experience, and they will provide a path forward as we look to recovery. We’re incredibly proud of these programs and incredibly grateful to our community of supporters for joining us in recognizing their importance.”
