Oberlin Creates App to Filter Recordings Through Acoustics of Their Concert Halls

Here’s something you CAN try at home that can provide hours of fun for music loves. Oberlin Conservatory faculty and staff have developed an app called ObieVerb where any recording can be uploaded and filtered through the acoustics of such Oberlin concert venues as Finney Chapel (pictured), Warner Concert Hall or Kulas Recital Hall.

Now not only can the more than 150 conservatory students who had to cancel their spring recitals make a recording of what they would have sounded like had they been able to play the hall where they will booked, you can imagine yourself playing there or pretend to be hearing your favorite music in one of Oberlin’s outstanding facilities.
