With No Third Friday, Painter Eileen Dorsey Shares Her Work Online

There was no Third Friday at 78th Street Studios in March. And it’s looking like Cleveland’s biggest recurring art happening won’t take place in April either. With thousands of people surging through the four-story building, dropping in and out of its studios, galleries and businesses, it just wouldn’t be safe.

But one of the building’s longtime resident artists has found a way to stay in touch with art lovers during the shutdown. Nature/landscape painter Eileen Dorsey’s studio at the front of the first floor is a regular stop for many, where the friendly painter is often working at her easel as she chats with visitors admiring her colorful, impressionist work which ranges from highly realistic to virtually abstract.

Now they can see and hear about what she’s working on in her regular weekly video posts “What’s on the Easel Wednesdays.” You can interact with her while she’s online or watch the segments late. She’s also offering special deals, including gambler’s sale-type discounts and free delivery within 20 miles. Watch here.
