Towpath Recreational Area Hosts a Party in Ohio City

UPDATE:
The Towpath Tappening has been postponed.

Fri 3/13 @ 5-8PM

It’s been a long time coming but the historical Ohio & Erie Canal towpath, once a major trade thoroughfare, has slowly been coming together over the past several decades as the recreational Towpath Trail, connecting a lengthy swath of northeast Ohio. Canalway Partners was founded 35 years ago to develop the trail’s northern end, culminating at Lake Erie.

Canalway Partners celebrates its 35th anniversary with its annual Towpath Tappening, an early St. Patrick’s Day party, taking place at Forest City Brewery. It features Irish food, beer, music by the Lestock Hurley Caner Band and updates on the project and events in the coming season.

If you wear your Towpath, Riversweep or Towpath Trilogy race tee, Canalway Partners lapel pin, or bring your Great Lakes Brewing Co. Trilogy mug, your first beer is free. For a donation of $35, you’ll get one raffle ticket for chance to win an Ohio & Erie Canalway-themed gift baskets.

Register to attend here.
