How’s your Spanish? If it’s good, or if you want to brush up, head over to Cleveland Public Theatre for its Spanish-language production of José Rivera’s Obie-winning 1992 play Marisol. (If it’s weak or nonexistent, there are English subtitles.)

Julia Rosa Sosa directs the production, which follows a young Puerto Rican woman through a post-apocalyptic New York City, navigating the wreckage created by a war in heaven. It combines elements of theater of the absurd and magical realism in a story that culminates with downtrodden and outcast people uniting with angels to save the universe. Originally in English, the place has been translated into Spanish.

It runs Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday through Sat 3/21 with a preview Thu 3/5 and opening night Fri 3/6. Preview and Monday and Thursday tickets are $15. Friday and Saturday tickets are $35.
