Thu 3/5 @ 6:30PM
Sat 3/7 & 3/14 @ 2-4PM
Brooklyn artist Katarina Jerinic, whose work revolves around making photographs, maps and other items “that respond to and intervene in built landscapes while considering past and present phenomena of particular places,” will be SPACES’ artist in residence in the next several months. In the time she’ll look at the connections between Cleveland’s pre-history as a melted-glacier site and its role in current climate change. She’ll be leading a series of walking workshops on the streets of SPACES’ Hingetown neighborhood, inviting people to join her in helping map the area’s own lanscape.
You can meet her and fellow artist-in-residence Veronique d’Entremont at a free, meet-the-artist event at Lava Lounge in Tremont. Or sign up for one of her walks, taking place Sat 3/7 and Sat 3/14 @ 2-4pm. Both artists’ shows open Fri 4/3.
