Botanical Garden Adds Adventure to Rainforest Environment

Sat 3/7-Sun 4/26

For a short time, the Eleanor Armstrong Smith Glasshouse at the Cleveland Botanical Garden has been transformed into Rainforest Adventure, an interactive environment that lets you become part of the rainforest’s flora and fauna.

Visitors can learn about this ecosystem close up by following a migratory bird maze and exploring the four layers of the canopy, from the high branches more than 200 feet tall to the tangle of undergrowth on the forest floor. They’ll see the habitats of birds, monkeys, iguanas, frogs, spiders and other creatures along the way, including a twice-a-day butterfly release.

The exhibit will be open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am-4pm Wednesday from 10am-9pm and Sunday from noon-5pm. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for kids 2-12.
