The local conservatories and music schools, always a bottomless resource of access to high-quality music performances, is stepping up during the quarantine with a wealth of online streaming performances and videos.
Baldwin Wallace University’s Conservatory of Music is now sharing some past performances, with the launch of a virtual concert series called “Surrounded by Sound,” with weekly performances posted on its YouTube channel. The series starts with last August’s conservatory convocation faculty recital, followed by soprano Cynthia O’Connell and pianist Mark Graham performing art songs, musical theater selections and more, cabaret-style. Both are available for listening now. Go here to access the videos as they’re posted.
