Local Duo Plays Scottish & Irish Music in Kent

Sat 2/29 @ 8PM

Duane and Ginni Dickson comprise HeartStone, a northeast Ohio-based duo who perform three centuries of music from Scotland and Ireland, combining historical and contemporary pieces into their programs. Duane has been playing this music for 50 years, while Ginni has 30 years’ experience. Both multi-instrumentalist, together they play Celtic harp, tin whistle, Highland pipes, Border pipes and Scottish smallpipes.

When they perform at the North Water Street Gallery for Standing Rock Cultural Arts Around the World series, they’ll play music from different parts of Scotland, along with a few Irish tunes and modern pieces.

It’s a suggested $10 donation or pay what you can. The concert will be preceded by a meet-and-greet at 7:30pm with light food and drinks.
