So 2019 and the 50th anniversary of the final Cuyahoga River fire — the one that we’ve told you repeatedly helped launch the modern environmental movement — drew to a close. But you’re not getting off from hearing more about the subject!

Join the Cleveland Metroparks for “The River That Changed a Nation,” an outdoor program on how the river was revived and future restoration plans. Meet at the Cleveland Script sign on Abbey Avenue and 14th overlooking the river (on the west side of the bridge from Sokolowski’s). The program features a two-mile hike on a paved section of trail. It’s free; no registration is required.
