Have Some Groundhog Fun at Natural History Museum

Sat 2/8 @ 10AM-3PM

Groundhogs are adorable and a lot of fun — unless they’re digging up your garden, of course. The pudgy, burrowing furballs are also supposedly able to predict the weather, a legend every kid knows: if they emerge from their burrows and see their shadow on February 2, we get six more weeks of winter. (It was sunny January 2, so tough luck for us).

Groundhog Day may be over, but the Cleveland Museum of Natural History knows there’s never a bad time to celebrate Groundhog Fun Day, especially since its resident groundhog Thistle the Whistlepig (another name for groundhog) is demanding it!

Come down and meet him and other lives animals, learn all about the life and habits of groundhogs (or woodchucks — they have many names!), do some crafts, and just have an all-around good time. It’s all free with regular admission: $17 for adults, $14 ages 3-18, college students with ID and seniors.
