Eat Pizza and Paczki for Pets on World Spay Day aka Mardi Gras

Tue 2/25 @ 6PM

If you’ve ever gone out to Rudy’s Strudel & Bakery in Parma for Paczki Day (Fat Tuesday, February 24 this year), maybe you got discouraged because you couldn’t even near the place. The place is packed to overflowing all day (5am-5pm) with live music, dancing, games, food and drink; you’ll have to elbow your way in!

But there is a way you can grab one of their Paczkis without fighting that mob — and help animals in need as well. Paczki Fur Pets, sponsored by Embrace Pet insurance, takes place at Goldhorn Brewery, where attendees will get all-you-can-eat pizza, one beer and one Rudy’s paczki for their $20 admission ticket. There’ll also be free prizes, raffle baskets and a 50/50 raffle.

Proceeds benefit the Neighborhood Pets Spay-Neuter Fund, a program of Friends of the Cleveland Kennel. It provides free spay/neuter services to needy families. Appropriately it’s not only Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras but also World Spay Day, which helps to bring awareness to how we can help cut down the population of unwanted/homeless animals.
