Rock Hall Nights Celebrates Mardi Gras

Wed 2/5 @ 6-9PM

The date of Mardi Gras (“Fat Tuesday” in French), which kicks off the pre-Easter period of Lent, is determined by the date of Easter, which can fall anywhere from March 22 to April 25. This year it’s April 12, putting Mardi Gras in late February, February 25, to be exact.

In the U.S. one of the most famous celebrations is, of course, New Orleans Mardi Gras. If you don’t have the money or time to head down there, or if stepping over passed-out drunk frat boys on Bourbon Street isn’t your thing, head down to the Rock Hall for an early Mardi Gras celebration that’s sure to be a little less out of control.

Mardi Gras is the theme of this month’s Rock Hall Nights, monthly evenings that give visitors a chance to explore the Rock Hall’s offerings, have some food and drink at the All Access Café, and take part in some special themed activities. A DJ will play appropriate music for dancing, there’ll be trivia contests with prizes, and you can try out some musical instruments in the current exhibit. Get dressed up, grab a glittery mask and come on down!

Tickets are $21. Rock Hall members and city of Cleveland residents are free.
