Prolific playwright Steven Dietz has a diverse catalog, which I includes his 2015 suspenseful noir thriller On Clover Road. In it, a mother seeking her daughter who has joined a cult, that daughter, the cult leader and a deprogrammer come together in an isolated motel room, the play’s single setting for a range of emotional confrontations and plot twists.
Akron’s None Too Fragile Theatre, which has never shied away from an intense or challenging play, takes on this work as its next production. It runs Thursdays-Saturdays @ 8pm through Sat 2/15, with shows Sun 2/9 @ 2pm and Mon 2/10 @ 8pm as well.
