Wed 1/29 @ 7PM

Musicians from The Music Settlement will head out to the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage to perform a program in honor of its current exhibit Leonard Bernstein: The Power of Music (on view through March 1).

Cellist Julie King, cellist and commentator Ida Mercer, soprano Natasha Ospina-Simmons, violinist Beth Woodside, guest pianist Randall Dusco and The Music Settlement Advanced Student Cello Ensemble will perform a program of less familiar works by Bernstein. They include Bernstein’s early Piano Trio, which he wrote while a student at Harvard and “Dream With Me” for soprano, piano and cello from Peter Pan, as well as a cello ensemble arrangement of music from one of Bernstein’s best-known works, West Side Story.

General admission tickets are $10, $5 for Maltz Museum members.
