People are often so moved by the beauty of nature that they want to share their feelings with people they know. But they find themselves searching for words and finding them inadequate.
Noted local writer Lee Chilcote can help! He’s the founder of Literary Cleveland, who moved on to focus on his own work, which includes poetry and nonfiction. He’s partnered with Literary Cleveland to offer a workshop in “Writing About Nature,” taking place at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes.
He’ll present and discuss work by poets and essayists who have used nature as their subject, guide participants in a writing exercise and offer feedback and guidance on their pieces. There will even be a short hike to get those creative juices flowing.
Writers of all degrees of experience are welcome. Cost is $30 per person. Register here.
