The Countryside Farmers Market continues through the winter indoors at the Old Trail School in Peninsula. And while the fresh, local produce may not be as plentiful as at its summer markets in Howe Meadow, there’s still plenty going on.
This week, in addition to local food products, they’ll have a cookbook swap going on upstairs in the cafeteria during market hours. Clean out your shelf and bring in any old cookbooks you haven’t opened in years — because, face it, you probably tend to use the same few over and over. Then pick up one or two new ones to take home and try out. Glance through them before you go, and see if you can find any of the ingredients at the market!
