CMNH President Sonia Winner Speaks at Cru Uncorked in Moreland Hills

Tue 1/14 @ 6PM

We always look forward to Cleveland Museum of Natural History president/CEO Sonia Winner’s weekly emails in which she talks with enthusiasm about various science-related topics. Even if you’re not a science buff, you can get swept up in her excitement for the topic and for the things the museum is doing to share it with the public.

Winner took the job in July 2018 after an 18-month stint as its chief development officer. She’d previous been vice president of development at New York’s Columbia University where she demonstrated her prodigious fundraising skills (Although not a Cleveland native, she also previously did stints at Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University). But as her emails make clear, she’s not just some figures-obsessed fundraiser: she’s committed to what she’s raising the money for.

Come hear directly from her what her vision for CMNH is. Cru Uncorked in Moreland Hills will be hosting her as part of its speaker series. There’s a 6pm reception with wine and light hors d’oeurves, followed by the 6:30 speech. Tickets are $35.
