DJ Red-I aka Brittany Benton forms half of the Cleveland hip-hop duo FreshProduce, along with emcee Playne Jane. She also runs a record store called Brittany’s Record Shop in Slavic Village, specializing in black music of all types: hip hop, R&B, funk, reggae, jazz, electronic and more.
She shares her musical enthusiasms with a monthly vinyl pop-up at Jukebox in Ohio City’s Hingetown neighborhood. She’ll be spinning some of her new monthly collection, which will also be available for sale. Expect the beats to be irresistible.
