Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple Hosts One Community Reads Book Discussion

Mon 1/27 @ 7PM

Last week, nine area library systems, the City Club of Cleveland and Playhouse Square launched One Community Reads, a series of events and discussions focused on a single book.

That book is New York University social science professor Eric Klinenberg’s Palaces for the People: How Social Infrastructure Can Help Fight Inequality, Polarization, and the Decline of Civic Life. The program will encourage people to read the book and then come together to explore the issues it raises about how a community can be better structured to address the problems facing it.

One such discussion will take place at Anshe Chesed Fairmount Temple in Beachwood, led by senior rabbi Robert Nosnchuk and Shaker Heights city councilwoman Juliana Senturia. It’s free and open to all. Please RSVP to Staci Cohen, 216)-464-5890 or scohen@fairmounttemple.org.
