When faced with systemic dysfunction, the most progressive approach may be to rethink the basic design. Redlining and blockbusting in real estate and lending have resulted in racial wealth disparities, so the exhibition Undesign the Redline at Trinity Cathedral should shed some light.

Tis the season for helping each other, and Carlos Jones’ Black Friday Charity Ball will benefit three local charities addressing dementia, youth behavioral issues and social justice. French native Lili Roquelin certainly redesigned her life, moved to Cleveland, relocated to NYC and returns to Brothers to Be Inspired, while jazz/pop/fun/soul vocalist Conya Doss alights at Nighttown. And the plan comes into focus: Winterblast launches at Akron’s Lock 3, Loganberry Books celebrates their 25th, we discover new models of journalism at a City Club forum, and Dru Christine Fabrics & Design hosts a pop-up shop and fashion show for Small Business Saturday.
