Statewide Arts Organization Announces October 2020 Conference in Cleveland

Wed 12/4 @ 5:30-8:30PM

We recently shared that Cleveland’s own Jessica Rosenblatt was named executive director of the Ohio Arts Professionals Network, a Columbus-based organization founded in 1960 to bring together arts presenters. Later it expanded to include other arts professionals including artists, managers, performing artist centers, bookers and service organizations. Rosenblatt has shared her goal of bringing in an even wider range of arts and arts-adjacent professionals.

Go-getter that she is, she’s already announced new board members expanding the board to represent more aspects of the arts scene. And now she’s official announced that the organization’s 2020 three-day conference will be coming to Cleveland October 18-20. So she’ll be able to show off her hometown (She’s still based here, in Lakewood).

It will take place in the Flats, with the Music Box Supper Club and Aloft Hotels hosting, where there will be professional development seminars and the chance for presenters to meet booking agents and artists. There will be opportunities for artists of all types to showcase, with 24 showcases featured. Details for submission are coming in March. You can sign up for their monthly newsletter here.

Rosenblatt recently held a networking event Nighttown in October, but if you missed that one’s having another at CLE Urban Winery in Cleveland Heights. Musicians, booking agents, talent buyers, dance groups, performing arts centers and other venue owners, photographers and videographers, and anyone else in the performing arts community is invited to attend the free event and learn if joining OAPN is something they can benefit from.

She’ll do a presentation about the organization, what it can do to help boost various segments of the arts community, and her plans for expanding its reach. There’ll be time for questions — for instance, about the benefits of attending the conference next year — and mingling with other guests, plus free appetizers and a cash bar. You’ll want to sign up for updates on the October conference as they’re available! Seating is limited; reserve your spot here.
