Ohio City Will Be a Beehive of Activity During Its Holiday Hop

Sat 12/14 @ noon-5PM

Ohio City has grown by leaps and bounds in the past decade as a hub of dining, drinking and shopping, with eateries, breweries and boutiques spreading out from West 25th and Lorain Avenue, and recent openings crowding its Hingetown section.

So some 40 businesses will be part of Ohio City Incorporated and the Ohio City Merchants Association annual Ohio City Holiday Hop this year. You’ll find special discounts and holiday offerings at places such as Bookhouse Brewing, Citizen Pie and Jukebox, holiday flavors at Mitchell’s Ice Cream, free cookies and hot cookie at vintage store All Things for You, tasting samples at Farkas Pastry Shop, and free designer wrapping of any purchase over $10 at Something Different gift boutique. You’ll also find special holiday offerings throughout the West Side Market.

There’ll be activities going on as well. Local artist Sarah Royer will be screenprinting posters and cards live at Passport Café, and have her work on display there. And if you want to meet Santa, he’ll be at the Flying Fig from 2-4pm, where there will also be cookie decorating and adult seasonal drink specials, plus 10% off brunch for anyone not ashamed to be seen in public in their ugly holiday sweater.
