Lakewood’s Screw Factory, a sprawling industrial building whose upper two floors are inhabited by artists as well as event spaces, has typically held a two-day holiday sale.
This time they’ve expanded it to three days, and it’s late this year, so it’s ideal for last-minute shopping. About 30 of the resident artists, whose work ranges from painting and sculpture to fine crafts such as glasswork and ceramics, will have their doors open with items available at a variety of price points, and several will have guests in their spaces — Gina DeSantis Ceramics has half a dozen in addition to her own work and work done in her studio. There’s a lot to explore here so you may need more than one day!
The two big event rooms will be filled with more than 60 artists, artisans and makers, offering photography, metalworks, knitwear, lighting fixtures, leather goods, candles, hats, botanical skin care products, prints, T-shirts, plants and much more. There’s a vendor list here.
They’ll also be collecting non-perishable food items & personal care items for the Lakewood Community Service Center. Admission is free.
