Drag & Burlesque Performers Gather for Benefit for Local Burlesque Star Bella Sin’s Mother

Sun 12/29 @ 7PM

We don’t generally write about benefits for individuals. But this one is special not only to us, but to a large performing community in Cleveland.

Bella Sin founded northeast Ohio’s longest running burlesque troupe, Cleveland Burlesque (formerly Le Femme Mystique) 15 years ago, and the Ohio Burlesque Fest ten years ago, and she’s one of the area’s most accomplished performers as well.

Bella’s mother Mona Ruiz, who lives in Colorado, has been battling cancer for nearly eight years. This year she’s taken a turn for the worse and her needs have increased. So the burlesque and drag communities that Bella has been part of and worked tirelessly on behalf of are coming together to support her and her mom.

The benefit takes place at the Beachland Ballroom, and will feature a lineup to 20 area drag and burlesque performers, including Bella. It’s a chance to check out the amazing array of talent the area has to offer, and help out the woman who does the most to bring them all together.

Admission is only $10. There will be a ton of raffles from local businesses, with one raffle ticket included with each admission.
