“DJ Kishka” Hosts the Tenth Annual “How the Kishka Saved Christmas” at the Happy Dog

Fri 12/13 @ 6-9PM

Under his real name, Justin Gorksi is known as the proprietor of the astonishingly excellent Cleveland Vegan café in Lakewood, which he runs with his wife Laura Ross.

But when he puts on the fake beard and becomes DJ Kishka, he’s one of Cleveland’s premiere polka promoters. He founded and hosts the annual post-Easter Dyngus Day festival in Gordon Square and has returned to hosting his monthly Polka Happy Hours at the Happy Dog after a hiatus.

And despite telling the Plain Dealer last year that 2018’s ninth annual ersion would probably be the “last time,” he’ll be reprising his popular holiday Polka Happy Hour, How The Kishka Saved Christmas, for the 10th year. Expect to hear obscure Christmas polkas he’s dug up, plenty of corny holiday jokes, probably some special guests and lots of Christmas cheer. It’s free and all ages.
