One of the beloved traditions in Arts Renaissance Tremont’s music series is the annual returning of Burning River Brass for their holiday concert.
The ensemble, which launched in 1996, features a dozen area musicians who play brass and percussion instruments on a professional level. It’s released several Christmas albums, and each year it returns to Tremont’s Pilgrim Church to play some of those popular tunes with the especially joyous lilt brass instruments can provide.
Instead of its usual Sunday matinee, ART hosts the group for two evening concerts. As usual, they’re free, although free will offerings to help fund the series are gratefully accepted.
