Akron Symphony’s “Home for the Holidays” Concert Features Carols and a Winter Carnival

Fri 12/13 @ 7:30PM

He doesn’t play any musical instrument to our knowledge. But apparently Santa will be making an appearance this weekend at the Akron’ Symphony Orchestra’s Home for the Holidays concert.

Led by music director, Christopher Wilkins, the orchestra, joined by the Akron Symphony Chorus, the Akron Youth Symphony, the CVCA Royal Ringers and tenor Daniel Doty, will do an evening of traditional holiday favorites. And on some selections, they’ll even be joined by the audience for a sing-along.

Then entire concert will be a festival holiday event, with the lobby of E.J. Thomas Hall decked out as a winter carnival from 6:30-7:30pm. The CVCA Royal Ringers and the Firestone High School Madrigal Singers will be making music in the lobby, while concert goers can have their photos taken with Santa or make a holiday bag at the crafting station and fill it at the Candy Store.

Tickets start at $25.
