South Euclid Humane Society Hosts “Pets Light Up Our Lives” Tree Decorating

Sun 12/1 @ 2-4PM

If you don’t like animals, don’t talk to me! The South Euclid Humane Society’s Pets Light Up Our Lives ceremony could not be more accurately named.

Now its 19th year, the event features a tree decorating with blue and white lights to honor our present pets and remember our past pets. The Reverend Courtney Jenkins of the South Euclid United Church of Christ will offer a blessing, and there will be a reception with refreshments afterwards with adoptable pets attending in case you have room for one more. Your own pet is welcome too, if you’d like them to help choose their new companion.

The event, which takes place on the northwest corner of Green and Mayfield roads, is free to attend, although the organization is asking for a $5 donation to hang a memorial pinecone on the tree. All money raised benefits the animals it cares for.
