Own a Piece of Cedar Point’s Past at Gray’s Auction

Mon 11/18 @ 11AM

These days Cedar Point is all about bigger, higher, faster, scarier, with 18 mostly super-sized roller coasters. But while it may not evoke the romantic memories of smaller parks such as Euclid Beach or Chippewa Lake, the 149-year-old park has its own nostalgic past.

Gray’s Auctioneers is offering a piece of that nostalgia when it hosts an auction of items from Cedar Point’s Town Hall Museum. They include such things as vintage arcade games that don’t remotely resemble anything any of us have ever played, fortune-telling machines, as well as video arcade games some will remember, movie reel viewers, novelty scales, a carousel organ, antique steam powered vehicles, benches, bicycles, coca-cola ring toss games, and even a 19th century apothecary store.

The auction goes live Mon 11/18 @ 11am. You can check out what’s on offer at Gray’s website. Estimated prices range from $80 to several thousand, with one steam fire engine (pictured) estimated to bring between $150,000-$250,000.
