Stop Procrastinating and Join the “Write-A-Thon” @ Cleveland Public Library

Sat 10/19 @ 10:30AM-5:30PM

Do you THINK a lot about writing but have a hard time finding the motivation to actually sit down and DO it? We feel your pain. As the illustrious author Truman Capote once said, “I don’t like writing — I like having written.”

The inaugural Gordon Square Review Write-a-Thon may be just the kick in the butt you need. “Gordon Square Review is here to help—by locking you in a room for a full day and forcing you to write!” they promise.

That room is the board room on the 10th floor of the Louis B. Stokes wing of the downtown Cleveland Public Library. You can come for one hour or all seven hours; they’ll have coffee to fuel you. And since it’s a benefit for Literary Cleveland’s Gordon Square Review (whose editors will be on hand to crack the whip, er, we mean inspire and motivate you), there’s a $5 suggested donation per hour. As with walkathons and other such charity events, they encourage you to go to their donation link and have your friends and family sponsor you. They’ll probably make you promise not to write about them!
