O.A.R. Sideman MikelParis Shows Off His Own Distinctive Music at Riverdog Retreat

Sat 11/2 @ 7:30PM

MikelParis has been performing with Columbus-based O.A.R. as percussionist, keyboard player and backup vocalist since 2005. But the New York-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/ developer of a “guitar drumming” technique is more than just a musician. He’s a multi-media artist, whose House Trek/Tune Trek project involves making recordings, video and photos of places he visits.

His latest stop is Oberlin, and while he’s there, he’ll perform a concert at the nearby Riverdog Retreat Gallery, presented by Susan Flanigan who is sponsoring the project. It’s a great chance to learn more about his Tune Trek project. Admission is $15 at the door, and you are welcome to bring your own food and drink. There will be free snacks and hot tea!
