Make Like a Bicycling Zombie at the Dead Ride

Sat 10/26 @ 3-10PM

The gentrification of Cleveland’s near west side neighborhoods is bringing with it an army of bicyclists, tooling down Lorain and Detroit in their nifty two-wheelers. And the bike-ification of Cleveland has resulted in events such as Slow Roll Cleveland, Critical Mass and the Fundo, giving cyclists of various ages, experience and skill levels a bunch of ways to participate in this growing movement.

Naturally, there are also themed rides, and what better occasion to have a costumed ride than Halloween? The Dead Ride invites those who want to impersonate a zombie to ride through some of the graveyards near downtown (together, of course). Start at Forest City brewery from 3-6pm for a drink and to get your zombie face put on by makeup artists. At 6:30, the ride wheels out and heads to the Bottlehouse Brewery for more drinks. From 8:45-9pm there’ll be a group photo gathering at an undisclosed location before the group heads to Superelectric Pinball in Gordon Square for an afterparty with live bands, a DJ and raffle prizes.

There’ll also be a prize for best costume. Participants must be 21. A helmet and lights are highly advised. Registration and makeup are $10.
