Grateful Dead Fans to Gather at Networking Is Dead at the Music Box

Fri 10/18 @ 8PM

The name of the group Networking Is Dead is deceptive, unless you know what’s up. No, it doesn’t refer to the end of this popular form of making business connections, but rather uses them in order to bring together business people and professionals who are … fans of the Dead, as in Grateful.

You’ll most likely find a lot of cars in the parking lot with dancing bear decals and lightning skull “Steal Your Face” stickers. And you’ll run into a lot of folks in the lobby just likely to be debating when and here the Dead played the best version of “Dark Star” as sharing what services their business offers.

Their next event takes place at the Music Box Supper Club and it’s a special event called Shake Your Bones featuring the national touring act The Garcia Project, which bases its set lists on actual set lists performed by the Jerry Garcia Band from 1976-1995, faithfully recreating the arrangements and instrumentation. If you’re a Dead fan, it’s pure heaven.

Costumes are encouraged. Want to go as a dancing bear? Go here!

Tickets are $27 in advance, $30 at the door. Proceeds benefit the Cleveland nonprofit Achievement Centers for Children, which works empower children and adults with disabilities and their families to help them achieve their full potential.
