Cleveland Burlesque Celebrates the Season with TWO Big, Scary Shows

Femmi Le Freak

Fri 10/18 @ 8PM

Sat 10/19 @ 8:30PM

You never know what those crazy kids from Cleveland Burlesque will come up with next. From the annual three-day blowout of the Ohio Burlesque Festival to its many themed shows throughout the year, the group is always presenting evenings of top-flight variety talent, both local and national.

It’s celebrating the Halloween season — yes, like Christmas, it’s now a full season! — with a pair of shows called “Stranger Things: Book of the Beast,” which it’s calling “the biggest horror theme burlesque weekend ever.” It will feature drag, burlesque and variety acts based on TV series such as The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Stranger Things and Supernatural, demonology, dark pop culture, horror and much much more.

Dean D’monic

On Friday night at the Alex Theatre at the 9 downtown, the headliner is Femmi Le Freak from Columbus, who will be joined by Clevelanders Ravea Chainsaw, Bella Sin, Miss Holly Grail, Deva Diamond and Emerald Von Bliss, with drag star Samantha Echo hosting. General admission tickets are $20 for general admission, $25 for preferred seating.

On Saturday, the action moves to the Beachland Ballroom, where Indiana’s Dean D’monic stars with a loaded line-up for local talent including Bella Sin, Bee Awkward, Lakota Shekhar, Jared Jamason, Matt Cockrin , Juicy Gem, Fonda Sweets, Hellcat Rose, Poppy Poison, Rubinesque and Jade Wilde. The very entertaining college professor/author/comedian/podcast host/magazine editor Ken Schneck hosts. General admission tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door.

Both locations offer reserves seating and VIP tickets as well; go to the event pages for more information. There will also be costume contests so do your best to outdo the performers. It will be difficult!
