Capitol Theatre Hosts a “Psycho” Halloween Eve

Wed 10/30 @ 6PM

Scary movie screenings are de rigueur for the Halloween holiday “season” with The Rocky Horror Show and old-style B-movie horror films being big favorites.

But the Capitol Theatre is trotting out a classic in the suspense genre that’s anything but your standard “horror” film: the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho. It stars Janet Leigh as a woman on the lam who arrives at the deserted Bates Motel to encounter the strange Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins) and his elusive mother. The famous shower scene has been copied, satirized and alluded to by many filmmakers and other artists.

The screening, on Halloween Eve, will start with a happy hour cocktail reception at 6pm, followed by the film at 7. Admission is $10.
