Sat 10/26 @ noon-6PM

Come on out to 78th Street Studios’ Survival Kit Gallery for an afternoon of hanging out with some of Cleveland’s legendary heavy metal musicians and two of its acclaimed music photographers.

Currently Reigning Rock: The Music Photography of Joe Kleon and Anastasia Pantsios is on view in the gallery, the largest group of music-related photos ever assembled in one place at one time in Cleveland. The show, which includes both black and white and color, and shots mostly from Cleveland-area shows, features artists from David Bowie to Rush to Queen to Judas Priest to Metallica, with all photos available for purchase. It features a wall devoted entirely to local bands and musicians, and there will be an emphasis on heavy metal!

On Saturday, October 26th, The Classic Metal Show will broadcast its six-hour weekly show live from the gallery and re-name itself “The Cleveland Metal Show.” From noon-6pm, CMS hosts Chris Akin and Neely will host their outrageous and uncensored radio show, with Cleveland metal musicians from the last 35 years appearing at the gallery and on the air. More than 50 musicians from bands such as Breaker, Shok Paris, Mushroomhead, Destructor, Black Death, Olathia and more will be interviewed live during the course of the afternoon.

The event is free and open to the public.
