Zygote Press’s annual Dresden Exchange sends local artists to Dresden, while Dresden artists come to Cleveland to spend a couple of months working on projects at Zygote.
The work of the current Dresden artists in residence, Elke Daemmrich and Jens Küster, will be on view in Foreign Affairs: Between Worlds in the Zygote Gallery Sat 9/14-Fri 9/20. Both artists have international influences. Daemmrich spends her summers in the south of France an has been part of 150 exhibitions globally since 1988. Küster has spent time studying music in northern India, the rhythms of which inform his visual work.
There’s a reception Sat 9/13 @ noon-3pm with the artists talking @ 12:30.
