Tremont Arts & Cultural Fest Returns for Its 21st Year

Sat 9/28 @ noon

Sun 9/29 @ noon

Did you miss the Tremont Arts and Cultural Festival last weekend? Oh wait — no, you haven’t. The festival moved from its normal weekend to the last weekend in September this year.

Now in its 21st year, it features a juried art show with more than 130 local and regional vendors of painting, jewelry, sculpture, photography, ceramics, prints and more in the Artists’ Village in Lincoln Park, which will include special sections celebrating LGBTQ artists and Latinx artists.

There are four other “villages” as well: a children’s village with things for them to play on and things to make and do; the community village, comprising local nonprofit groups and local, independent vendors; the cultural village with fair-trade merchants, local restaurants and nonprofits reflecting the area’s ethnic diversity; and the Tremont Farmers Marker with the local growers and artisans, who sell at this market every Tuesday May through October.

There’s also a wine and beer garden with the Main Stage featuring music and dance performances all weekend, by groups such as Latin music ensemble Ropa Vega (Saturday @ 12:05pm), Windsong Feminist Chorus (Saturday @ 2:15pm), the New Genesis hip hop and poetry duo (Saturday @ 4:15pm), the Coastliners small ensemble from the North Coast Men’s Chorus (Saturday @ 5pm), the St. Augustine Signing Choir (Sunday @ 12:05pm), the Piast Polish folk song and dance ensemble (Sunday @ 2:15pm) and Yin Tang Chinese dance company (3pm).

Be sure to stick around afterwards on Saturday because at 7:30 on the Main Stage, Tremont Arts After Dark and Cleveland Burlesque present a celebration of LGBTQ and Latino artists in Cleveland. Ryan Clopton Zymler will host a lineup of local burlesque and drag performers including Alejandra J-love, Gya Mongciel, Bella Sin, Samantha Echo, Jade Wildes, Emerald Von Bliss, Stella Nach, Lady Slay and Rosario Midnight the Latina Bombshell. It’s a $5 suggested donation at the door.

The festival is free, and your dog is welcome too.
