Akron’s Tuesday Musical presents an evening featuring two musicians who are no strangers to area classical music aficionados.

Grammy-winning classical guitarist Jason Vieaux has built a national reputation as one of the stars in his area, while also becoming known as an influential educator, who heads the classical guitar department at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Violinist Adam Barnett-Hart is a member of Tuesday Musical’s quartet-in-residence, the Escher Quartet, of which he’s the founding first guitarist.

Vieaux has often worked with the Escher Quartet. This summer, they released an album together called Dance, featuring both new compositions and old works that have a dance theme.

For their performance at E.J. Thomas Hall, they’’ll perform Jacques Ibert’s Histoires; George Frideric andel’s Violin Sonata in D Major; J.S. Bach’s Fuga from Violin Sonata No. 1 in G Minor; selections from Manuel de Falla’s Siete Canciones Populares Españolas; Barbara Kolb’s Umbrian Colors; Eugène-Auguste Ysaÿe’s Sonata No. 5, Op. 27 for solo violin; and Piazzolla’s L’histoire du Tango.

There’ll be a Concert Conversation with the artists at 6:30pm in E’s Flying Balcony Club. Tickets are $25- $45. Students are free.
